We support people to do the extraordinary everyday.

Midsomer Homecare is a local business, caring for local people & employing local people.

We are proud to be based in Midsomer Norton and we have been in the same location for over 25 years.

We cover the whole of Bath & North East Somerset and also venture out into surrounding areas.

We honestly care about our clients and care workers, and will do our best to support them in whatever they need by providing the correct training for staff and regular reviews of clients.

Our proud history

At Midsomer Homecare, we care about people and we care about quality. Whether you need to discuss care provision for yourself or a relative, or you are interested in a career in care, our door is open for a cup of tea and a chat.

Based in Midsomer Norton, Midsomer Homecare is a family-owned business – our three Directors are Ian and Sue Dutton, and their Daughter Caroline Burfield.

A former Franchise of Carewatch Care Services Ltd, we bought the Franchise in 2024 and changed the name to Midsomer Homecare.
A different name but the same people and quality care.

We are a leading provider of care and support to people in their own homes.

We deliver high quality services to people in Bath and all over North East Somerset.

Midsomer Homecare is part of the Local Authority’s Framework, this means that we are recognised by Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES), and accept care packages funded by them.
We have worked in partnership with BANES Council for over 25 years.

We work with a range of services within BANES.
We work closely with the Mental Health Service, working with clients with Dementia, Addiction and other mental health illnesses.

We work with the District Nurses, providing End of Life care and we also liase a lot of with the Older People Team of Social Workers and the Occupational Therapists.

Our mission and vision

Midsomer Homecare is committed to providing high-quality health care services to individual clients and their families, as well as to other healthcare organisations who contract to us.

Our priority is to provide highly trained and caring staff that can offer the best care to our end users. To make good on this promise, we have onsite training facilities and a training manager at our premises in Midsomer Norton and supervisers that  work closely with our carers.

We provide everyone we support with the opportunity to continue to live life to the full. We actively encourage Service Users to become more self-reliant, to make decisions for themselves, and ultimately, to move on to more independent living arrangements.

We facilitate and support our Service Users to pursue meaningful and personalised lifestyles. We provide individually planned education & leisure opportunities to support each individual in their ongoing development.
